About GnomeCache
What's the story behind it?
Welcome to Gnomecache, a magical geocaching adventure created especially for the community of Gnosall! The inspiration for Gnomecache came during the summer holidays, when our twin 13-year-old girls were off school on their summer hols and eager for some fun and adventure.
We searched online for existing geocaches in Gnosall but were disappointed to find that the only ones listed were old and likely no longer in place. This sparked an idea: why not create our own geocaches for the local community?
And so, Gnomecache was born, blending the names Gnosall and geocache, with a nod to our local event, Gnomesall. Our aim was simple: to provide a free, engaging activity that both adults and children could enjoy during the holidays.
Each geocache box is carefully crafted to bring joy and excitement to those who find it. Inside each box, you'll find a pencil and notepad to record your name and the date of your find. We've also included a selection of children's knick-knacks and toys, with the idea that young adventurers can take a small toy as a memento of their discovery. This encourages a sense of sharing and community spirit, as each geocache box becomes a treasure trove of tiny delights.
